Spring 2026 Retreat

You are invited to join Bloom, an experiential spring retreat program. This offering creates space to explore what is emerging within us in response to our current social and ecological alarms. The challenges we face when we look at the world around us are overwhelming. Frustration, fear, anger, despair, and numbness are begging for our attention. However, a crisis can be an opportunity to dig deep into our inner and outer realms to bring forth our courage, creativity and care. Most importantly, we don’t have to do this alone. This group experience is curated to build our mutual capacity as we remember, renew, and reweave our individual paths for our collective belonging.

Our time together will include spacious explorations of group sharing, silence, somatic inquiry, and forest therapy to co-create a temporary sanctuary. Come as you are. Bring your tangled threads and heavy hearts. Our time together is resistant to urgency, problem solving, and quick fixes. We gather to feel, to honor our pain, and to plant seeds of resilience on behalf of our world and future generations. This gathering is for dreamers ready to strengthen our mutual capacity so we can carve a collective vision of love, joy, gratitude, and connection for all beings.

  • Preparation

Before arriving to the retreat, we will host a pre-retreat virtual gathering to greet one another, go over logistics, and share an invitation to prepare our intentions and mindsets. Preparation is an essential part of retreat and deepens the experience for all.

  • Arrival Day

Arrive before 6:00 P.M. We will enjoy a nourishing dinner together, followed by a gentle opening practice to meet ourselves and other retreat attendees, connect movement with breath, and set the tone for the upcoming weekend.

  • Day Two

Awake to quiet and enjoy a slow morning silently meandering outdoors as the sunrises. Throughout the day, we will gather for a gentle yoga practice, spend time outdoors during a guided forest therapy session, and connect with group circle practices. Settle down with a simple dinner and re-connect with nature during an evening forest therapy, meditation, and journaling exploration.

  • Departure Day

Silence breaks at sunrise, allowing for organic conversation or continuation of silence. Prepare to depart with a closing ceremony as we connect movement with breath, share our experiences, and integrate our retreat experience into our daily life.

  • Integration

Departing from your retreat may bring strong emotions, both positive and negative. Spending so much time in silence slows our nervous system down. Focus on leaving space for yourself. Entering back into the real world is the true test of our practice.

During our time together, you can expect a blend of:

  • Somatic inquiry through gentle yoga and breath awareness

  • Connection and alignment with nature through Forest Therapy

  • Dedicated time to honor individual exploration with community silence

  • Group practices guided by the Work That Reconnects

  • Community Agreements to honor our individual growth and exploration

Retreat Cost & Payment

The cost of this offering covers materials, facilitation, food and lodging for the in-person retreat. A sliding scale payment option ($200 - $250) is available for those that are experiencing a time of abundance or hardship. If you are in a place to give a little extra, you can help offset the cost for someone experiencing financial strain. Please use the following guidelines to reflect on your financial contribution:

$200: I frequently stress about meeting basic needs. My housing situation, access to health care, and vehicle reliability are very unstable. I live paycheck to paycheck. I rarely buy new items because I am unable to afford them. I cannot afford to take time off without financial burden.

$250: I am comfortably able to meet all of my basic needs. I have a steady income and am able to set aside savings. I have regular access to health care, stable housing, and own a reliable vehicle. I can afford an annual vacation and take time off without worry or stress about finances.

Please note where you align on the sliding scale option ($200-$300) and contribute accordingly. Upon acceptance into the program, at least 50% of the total cost is required to secure your spot. Payment will be accepted via Venmo or PayPal. If you would like to make an alternate form of payment please let me know.

Retreat Attendance

The retreat will begin promptly at 6pm on Friday and conclude at 2pm on Sunday. Arrival and departure times are non-negotiable, and full attendance is expected. All meals, starting with Friday dinner through Sunday lunch, are provided. Shared lodging for two nights (Friday night and Saturday night) is included.

What does a supportive silent retreat mean?

These retreats are held in a space of supportive silence, meaning we give participants freedom and spaciousness for new and emergent feelings, emotions, and movements. We come together with an intention of quietude without small talk, asking for permissions, or expectations. However, there will be a few opportunities to participate in a sharing circle where speaking from the heart and deep listening are practiced. During these times, we invite you to speak without planning, worry or fear of what comes out. In this way, we are experiencing silence in a few different ways. We silence our inner critic to reach inner quietude as we share what our heart space holds. We also practice listening with a full body and silence our reactions. During deep listening, it isn’t important if we agree or disagree with what is said. Simply witnessing authenticity in the present moment is a way to practice silence while listening.

Where is the retreat held?

The retreat is held on a secluded wooded property in north-central WV near Elkins. Directions and exact location will be shared with registered participants.

A central house serves as the main retreat space. On the first floor, a full kitchen for cooking shared meals, a shared dinning and living area with ample space for relaxation, reading, and crafts, a library with a unique collection of books and artwork, and a zendo for yoga, meditation, and sharing circles. On the second floor, shared bunk rooms and private bedrooms for restful sleep. Throughout the whole house, beautiful artwork and open windows invoke transformation and introspection.

The central house is nestled among the forest, with walking trails, flowing streams, and plentiful trees and other forest beings.

What do I need to bring?

A full packing list will be shared with registered attendees prior to the retreat. Typical items to bring include:
